Meet Dr. Tull
Oral and Maxillofacial surgery requires up to 6 additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. As an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Tull manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. Tull practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. He can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, facial trauma, and fractures.
Dr. Tull is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon here in Overland Park, with hospital privileges at several local hospitals. His surgical expertise and thorough understanding of both aesthetics and function uniquely qualifies him to diagnose, treat, and surgically manage the conditions, defects, injuries, and aesthetic aspects of the mouth, teeth, jaws and face. Dr Tull's training includes:
- Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro
- D.M.D. degree from Boston University School of Dental Medicine (graduated cum laude)
- Completion of a hospital based (AAOMS accredited) residency and fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the University of Florida
Dr. Tull has multiple years of experience in a private practice setting and has established Tull Oral and Facial Surgery, a professional association, and is licensed in three states (Kansas, Missouri, and Florida).
He has won numerous Oral and Maxillofacial surgery awards including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial surgeon student dental award (2000), and the Quintessence award for academic and research achievement (2000).
